Peptide Application Research Checklist
A cross-disciplinary checklist for planning peptide application studies, from the research question and controls to batch-specific documentation.

Before ordering
- Write the biological or analytical question in one sentence.
- Define the model, primary endpoint, expected interference, and stopping criteria.
- Specify the exact sequence, terminal modification, salt form, amount basis, and documentation required.
- Confirm that the intended use is laboratory research and that the project has the approvals it requires.
Before starting the experiment
- Review the batch COA, lot number, identity data, purity method, and any handling notes.
- Validate the solvent and vehicle at the planned concentration range.
- Prepare vehicle, untreated, positive or reference, and material-only controls appropriate to the assay.
- Predefine how solutions are prepared, aliquoted, stored, thawed, and discarded.
During the experiment
Keep the addition order, incubation time, temperature, plate layout, and analysis settings consistent. Record deviations when they happen rather than reconstructing them later. If a result is surprising, first check concentration calculation, solvent exposure, sample history, and assay interference.
When reporting
Report the model, batch, method, controls, replicates, and limitations. Separate observation from interpretation. A research result can justify a follow-up experiment without justifying a medical, nutritional, cosmetic, or consumer claim.
What a supplier should be able to answer
A useful research conversation covers the exact material identity, batch documents, packaging, storage, reconstitution considerations, custom analytical requirements, and shipping conditions. Where a requested specification depends on a particular batch, ask for the document that applies to that lot rather than relying on a generic page.
